Hi Mama Love,

If you eat meat, then you must go to port of call for burgers and baked potatoes. Even if you don't eat meat, go for the potato. also, the clover grill in the quarter. its away from the more touristy area.

if you are feeling adventurous, you can go to frenchman street in the marigny. lots of amazing jazz and local new orleans music. just be careful and watch your back. don't go alone and cab or bike it if you can.

enjoy!

I am heading in to New Orleans on 2/23 - 2/26. Not much money.. I have a place to stay in Mississippi. I have not been to New Orleans but once before and it was not during Mardi Gras. I am going with another woman and no one else. Would anyone have any "Must Sees" or "Must Dos" or "Must Eats" ??
I am a burner at core, so touristy crap does not appeal to me, but the true heart and culture of the people of New Orleans does.

Any advise would be most appreciated!

Sparkle and Shine,
