We will gather at the Home Depot at 1100 S. Claiborne Ave at 11:30am in Central City on December 4. (This event is a coalition with Gulf Restoration Network and the Save Our Cypress Campaign.) In order to properly defend New Orleans from hurricanes, we not only need safe federal levees, but also healthy, functioning wetlands and cypress swamps to bolster our storm protection. But even after the horrors of Katrina, cypress forests continued to be clear-cut solely to produce cypress mulch. Join us at Home Depot at 1100 S.
